you might have already heard of sayings like..."giving your body a break" and "cleaning yourself out"... whilst there are many ways to detox, we feel the best and safest form of detoxing is a juice fast. this is not just an upcoming trend, but also considered to be one of the best ways to get rid of harmful substances within our bodies.
some of you may have never fasted before and some of you are old pros at it, so we realize we are coming from lots of different perspectives. so, if you’ve never done a fast before there’s certainly nothing to worry about. it’s a wonderful way to cleanse - giving your body an amazing chance to start again and getting back in touch with your old personal rhythm. during our daily lives we continually suppress the functions within our bodies by the way we eat, live, think and exercise - this leads us on to the true secret to fasting and why we think it is the best way to cleanse on many different levels. the secret is: it feeds the vital force or energy within your body and burns up all the unwanted impurities that continue to build up during our everyday lives.
so how does this whole fasting thing work?
during a fast your body goes through a cleansing and rejuvenation process through the elimination of old and dead cells, toxins and unhealthy bacteria, which then leads onto the rebuilding of brand new healthy cells.
the fasting process actually begins after three days, when the body goes into what is called ‘autolysis’. autolysis is a natural progress of the body which digests its own cells and tissues that are in excess, diseased, damaged, aged or dead and is sometimes described as ‘burning the rubbish’. it’s like your body gets a message to start cleaning up...
juices made from the purest natural raw ingredients are high on minerals, vitamins, and enzymes which help with the rejuvenating process of the body. when these juices are assimilated they go directly into the body without stimulating digestive enzymes, meaning your digestive system gets a huge well earned break and is then able to repair other organs and areas of your body.

before you get started, eliminate things like bread, white sugars, processed foods, meat and switch to more raw, fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. it makes the progress so much easier and prepares your body for a more effective fasting experience. on the last day before juicing, eat a light meal in the evening so you wake up fresh and ready. also coming out of a fast is very important... so go easy on yourself, slowly bring soft fruits and easy to digest vegetables, soups and smoothies into your diet. give to your body only the best organic and nutritional foods and continue with a fresh juice or a green smoothie a day… every day.
